THETA ETA CHAPTER
Who are we?
Students.
The Theta Eta Chapter recognizes that it is comprised first and foremost of students. Our chapter makes academic achievement a top priority, and encourages our members to do their best in their academic endeavors. With this mentality, combined with an established support network of knowledgeable members, we regularly see high academic success. Our chapter often ranks in the top three fraternities in academics; in fall of 2019, our chapter ranked #1 for average GPA among all Greek organizations at Missouri S&T. Throughout the pandemic and fall of 2021, we stayed strong staying above the curve.
Atheletes.
While we see success in the classroom, we are also quick to dominate on the court or field. Our members bring determination and team effort into our intramural sport participation, and this has proven to be an effective combination. Our chapter has won these recent Intramural Championships:

Philanthropists.
Since 2012, the philanthropy of the Sigma Chi International Fraternity has been the Huntsman Cancer Institute, an organization founded by Significant Sig John Huntsman with the hope to find the cure for cancer in our lifetimes. To date, Sigma Chi has pledged over $30 million to HCI, with $2.3 million donated in 2019 alone. Our chapter does its part each year to contribute to this noble cause by hosting our annual Derby Days events, events and partnerships with the school and surrounding community to raise funds for the philanthropy.

When you join Sigma Chi you are not just joining any organization. You are joining a brotherhood with a lifelong bond; one that does not discriminate on academic major, graduation year, or geographical location. The friendships you will make within the chapter will support your through your schooling, give you opportunities to spend time with men of similar values to yours, and teach you to be a well rounded individual.
